The sun is out. The birds are chirping. And it's Wednesday! That means the weekend is almost here. Here are a few of other things that are making me feel so happy too.
This video has got me giggling and inspired. Thanks Andrea for sharing this video...Imagine half the people in Grand Central Station freezing in time..
Marian Bantjes teams up with the infamous designer Stefan Sagmeister to use sugar to create phrases for his series - “Things I have learned in my life so far.” Sugar! Yes sugar! I am totally amazed by her patience and details. Take a look and you would be amazed. All of her work is so drool worthy.
It's Fashion Week this week in NY. Fashion is always a step ahead and they're already showing their Fall 2008 collection. What about Spring and Summer? That's ok because I'm loving a lot of the rich, elegant tones that they're using. Pantone, the expert on colors, says there are a lot of cooler blues, greens and purples followed by variations of warm red, orange and yellow. "Fall is traditionally a time for subdued, quiet colors, but this season we are seeing a shift toward cool hues with bright, exciting undertones. Conventional tones such as warm autumn hues, chocolate browns and steel grays are also among the fall color choices. Blue and purple tones have become staples, as illustrated by Blue Iris, one of the top 10 colors chosen by designers this season" So d*lightfully yummy!
I'm almost over with the Winter season and ready for Spring to be here (notice the "almost" I'm a lover for jackets, scarves, and boots). I was curious to see what colors the fashion designers were using for their Spring 2008 collection from last year, for this year. Does that make sense? The collection is filled with such rich and yet cheerful colors. Oh Spring, why aren't you here already. We miss you!

I have this deep love for flowers. and when I saw this flower I was glowing. I have never seen purple fringed ranunculus before. They're so lovely. I have this urge to run out and buy some to put on my desk. Thank you Sarah for making my day even brighter! I hope I made your day a little brighter too.
