This morning, I woke up with a green thumb. How did it get green? Well, last night was the much-anticipated Green Carpet Reception held at the brand new Green Event Studio! I can't tell you enough how exciting it was to share in the grand opening of a great studio that have big dreams to make green events more available for everyone. From the first time we heard their idea and met to discuss their logo, we saw something so much bigger. We suggested taking the concept behind the logo further and making it interactive for the opening night. And we're so glad they ran with it, because seeing everyone contribute by leaving their thumbprints on the canvas, painted by Green Event Studio's own Maria, and going home with a green thumb was unforgettable! (especially when your thumb stays green overnight)
Another highlight for us was to see the logo turned into an ice sculpture by Carving Ice with a tunnel down the middle for the signature drinks by Support Her Vodka and Sence. Carving Ice also did a cool waterfall that can spell out words and display graphics in illuminated water droplets, so I stood there with my camera for a good 5 minutes waiting for D*Lsh Design to scroll down, but my finger wasn't fast enough to take a picture of it. Oh well. But it was pretty neat.
I must give props though to Christine for sharing her personal story of her grandmother who died of breast cancer and to hairstylist Abby Aguilera for volunteering her time and talents to give breast cancer brides hair for their wedding. It is so awesome to be working with women with a passion for helping others.
Anyways, congratulations to Christine and Maria for such a successful event! This is only the start of something even greater. We're both so honored to be a part of your budding company. It was great to meet all the other sponsors and guests. And also to see other Ladies who Launch, especially my Incubator leader, Amy Schuber. We hope to see you all again soon. Cheers!

Great pictures!! It was so nice meeting your team at the launch party.

I love the green thumb interactive tree. I wish I could have seen it and put my thumb to the test.
