Happy Monday! This weekend, I finally got a chance to catch up on uploading pictures from my honeymoon trip in Greece. I don't know if you know, but we had a little drama coming back to the States. Because of some visa issues, our return was delayed by a week! But all is well now and it is SO GOOD to be home! There's nothing like coming home to your loved ones after having been away in a foreign country.
But aside from all that, I've gotta say, it was the best honeymoon trip ever! Santorini Island was so beautiful! I wanna say it's as good as the pictures but being there in person, standing by the waters and taking in the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The resort we're staying at was amazing. Our room, which was more like a mini home, had a dining area, living room, a hallway that led to the bedroom, a walk-in closet and our own private patio with a private jacuzzi! We couldn't believe it. And when we first arrived, they had flowers on the desk to welcome us.
The free breakfast wasn't so bad either! They had so many different fruit juices you can try, peach, pineapple, mango and even banana juice! (Didn't even know you can make freshly-squeezed banana juice.) We love the mini french toast pancakes.
On the second day, we took the hotel shuttle to go into Fira town. We spent the day walking around town and enjoying our first taste of Santorini. Love the little shops and the architecture!
We ate at this Taverna overlooking the waters and found our favorite food in Greece - grilled feta cheese! Patrick uses a lot of salt in his food, but he didn't even touch the salt shaker for this one! Squeeze some lemon juice on it, and MMmm... it was... divine.
We stayed for the sunset and it was SOOO worth it!
Up next: Visiting Oia and Donkey Ride
