logos, web design, business cards - oh my!

Did you miss us? I know we've missed you! I apologize we've been quiet over here. In the last year, our little-now-big magazine, UtterlyEngaged, took a lot of our blogging attention away from this one. But we promise from now on we will blog more because we have so much coming up in the D*LSH Design studio. We are just bursting with excitement and can't wait to share with you. The news is so good it deserves it's own blog post. While you wait for the news, let's celebrate our comeback today with a few projects that we've been working on and just finished in the last month. Our most recent project is with Summer Watkins. A very dear friend of ours who has the most amazing style and taste. D*Lsh Design and Summer’s logo designer, Lindsay of M. Stetson Design teamed up to create a pretty rockin’ brand and website for her, SummerWatkins.com. In the next month we're going to be launching her blogs, Grey Likes Weddings, Grey Likes Nesting and Grey Likes Baby. Be sure to be on the lookout for that! In the meantime, if you're looking for a prop, tablescape, wardrobe, set, and off-model stylist for your photo shoot contact her at style@summerwatkins.com. Book her before she fills up!

Our next little baby is Katie Frederick of Ever After Honeymoons! Katie has the inside scoop on traveling and she is the go to gal for you dream vacation. She's not your normal travel agent, because she goes beyond and designs your vacation days tailored just for you! When I slow down a little bit and plan my honeymoon, she is the first person I'm going to contact! Lastly, one of our favorite projects that we designed recently was for Christine Wright of Simply Modern Weddings. She wanted something that was fresh, chic and simple of course and we nailed it with this one. Her logo is my favorite because we were able to turn it into a pattern. And can you see the " S M W " in the logo? Ack! It was the highlight of my design days when we discover such a cool logo. And her business card, can I get a squeal, I can't help but love it! In the next few months we're designing some more of her collateral that we are super excited about! Christina, is an amazing, on top of it, and creative planner. And she makes it so much fun too. Hello Again!

It's been so long since we posted. Two months past and so many amazing things happened. D*LSH Design is still here and growing! First and foremost, Henny just had a healthy baby girl. She is the cutest thing ever. Her name is Hannah. She's going to make a lot of appearances on here so please welcome her in this world. Here's Mama and her baby girl.

I have a feeling she's going to be our little muse. "Hannah what do you think of this color? What about this type?" It's going to be so much fun!

Oh and we don't want to forget Henny's birthday! Happy birthday Henny! She turned the big 3-0!!! Ya!

Next, it's 43 more days til my wedding day! Yes! Can you believe it. This kind of explains my absence. I've been away creating and designing things for my wedding. I'm so excited. I can't wait to marry my best friend. I will start posting more pictures of my invite, ideas, and all the things I've been creating. You're going to love it.

Now on to business. We launched 2 more issues for UtterlyEngaged.com and it's been such a huge success. I love everything about it. Especially being able to work with some amazing and creative people in the wedding industry such as Eva of Red Velvet Occasions, Bonnie Tsang, Summer of Grey Likes Weddings, Stephanie Williams, Carissa of JL Designs, Melody of Sweet and Saucy Shop, Johanna of LotusHaus,  Brandon Kidd, Brian Khang, Paige of Bash Eco Events, Charley Star, Danni of Oh Hello Friend, Darci of With This Ring Blog, Anne-Marie of PerfectBound, Sweet Paul, Dana of Broke-Ass Bride, Ellsworth Photography, Jeffrey Neal of JNP Studios ... gosh the list goes on and on. We're constantly inspired and we feel so blessed to be doing what we're doing. We're already in the works of creating our 4th issue. So we're going to start blogging about some behind the scenes stuff as we create our issues. In the meantime, if you haven't seen the last 2 issue, take a look here. Let us know what you think.

Feather Love Photography + The Flashdance + East Side Bride + D*LSH Design

What do all these people have in common?  a love for LOVE! We are so happy to announce that we are giving away a free custom design and printed invitation to one lucky couple. Photoshoot Galore!

This weekend was a jam-packed one for D*LSH.

On Saturday, we had the privilege of working with absolutely talented cast on a photoshoot that we're doing for a new wedding collection. We had Jeffrey Neal of JNP Studios as the photographer extraordinaire, along with his hairstylist, Robin Dunn, who according to the models, was one of the best hairstylists they've ever worked with! She did some amazing hair on the models. For makeup, we had Anha of Anha Does Makeup, who was as superb at what she does. We totally dig the stuff she did for the shoot - very innovative and creative. Our models, Ericka who's totally fun to work with, and Holly who absolutely got her stuff together, made the day go so much smoother. And we wouldn't have been able to do it without Pegah Sasani, our wardrobe stylist, who put together the best looks for the 'shoot. She was so sweet and we love all the dresses and accessories she brought.

On Sunday, we switched gear for a different photoshoot for Utterly Engaged, with Eva from Red Velvet Occasions. Of course, we had to pick the hottest day of the year to shoot this outdoor!! But our team survived (sorta) the afternoon and managed to create an awesome set. We were very fortunate to have Summer Watkins of Grey Likes Weddings as our floral stylist because her creativity and passion for beautiful flowers just blew our mind. And her talents extended in her family, when she brought her mom on the team to create a fabulous cake to go with the theme! So very awesome! And we were very excited when Stephanie Williams and her hubby Isaac agreed to jump on board to shoot the set. Thanks also to John Dinh, Lucy's brother, for helping us with the manly labor and the awesome behind-the-scene photos! His eye for style was a completely pleasant surprise. Not to mention his wife, Phung, who was eager to help with anything. Such a sweetheart!
