Baby Hannah Announcement

Hi there! I've been meaning to post about the baby announcement that I made for baby Hannah, but with new mommyhood, I'm at the mercy of her schedule! So now that she's asleep, I just wanted to share these cards I sent out to my family and friends. Since I was on bed rest for the last few weeks of my pregnancy, I had time to make something special for her. Everyone in the wedding world is always buzzing about the wedding line from J.Crew. But have you seen the latest for the kids. If you haven't you should! They have the most adorable skirts and dresses for the flower girls. And the suits for the ring bears are really cute too! Their new catalog is full of fun and eye candy. Hip Hip Hooray, Lucy!

Today is Lucy's birthday and by the time you read this, she's probably flying over to Hawaii! What a great way to spend your birthday! Before she left, Eva and I surprised her with a mini cupcake celebration. And I gave her a CD by Danny Maika to accompany her on her adventures to the islands with ukulele sounds. I hope she gets a much needed R&R with her fiance and come back refreshed. Love you, Lucy! I'll definitely miss you!

A Totally Romantic Proposal...On the Brooklyn Bridge!

This is the cutest, most romantic engagement story I have ever read at Smitten. As the couple walked across the Brooklyn Bridge this past weekend, strangers handed her pink balloons and love notes. The notes were handwritten messages to her which reminded her of why he loved her and why he wanted to marry her. Oh did you just get the goosebumps? I know I did.

Real Wedding { John + Phung }

My brother's wedding was the most anticipated event of the year in my family. So much attention, care, love, joy and excitement was put into this wedding and it showed throughout the whole day. They had an Asian wedding without using the usual Asian colors, orange and blue that were really beautiful together. Just like their colors, they are so perfect for each other! I am so happy that my brother has found the most wonderful and the sweetest girl I know. Now I get to call her my sister! I had so much fun at their wedding, I can't wait to do it all over again at my wedding! Congrats to the two lovebirds!

The D*LSH family just got bigger!

Henny and I have some wonderful news! We both are now proud aunties of two newborns. My sister gave birth to Nicholas. And Henny's sister had a baby girl named Kailey. We're beaming with so much excitement over here! Aren't they the cutest thing you ever did see! Congratulation to our sisters!

Tick-a-Tack-a-Type

I'm currently loving this old-fashioned classic typewriter in Cherry Red and Turquoise from Three Potato Four. The best part is that it's fully functional! I'd love to have this on our studio desk. Who can resist typing on this!? And did I tell you that I absolutely LOVE typing? In high school, I loved my typing class so much that I breezed through Typing 1, 2 and 3 in one single semester. I was a typing machiiine!!

I wish we were invited to your peony party...

Martha, why didn't you invite us to your peony party? D*LSH would have loved to be there! Imagine us, peony party crasher. Haha. We love love peonies! Look at how big these peonies are?! I didn't know they can get so big. Yeah, these peonies deserve a party. They are sooo pretty you have to celebrate their gorgeousness.

Her  spread looks wonderful too. I really love how she displays each peony on this wonderful copper tray. Such a delightful contrast.

This is a great idea for any type of flowers. If your garden grows a certain type of flower, why not invite your friends and have a party. I'm thinking a plumeria party would be perfect for me. It's magnificent when our plumeria tree blooms. I feel like I'm in Hawaii every time I see it in full bloom! Do I hear a plumeria party at my house? You just might be invited...
