A Pocketful of Butterfly Wings

I don't know about you, but there's something about these feathers in a pocket posted on 17 Blocks from Barneys. Maybe it's the way it's placed. But it's kinda magical, like it's ready to take flight. I think this is a great alternative to boutonnieres if you're a bride with feathers in your hair too. Maybe it's just me.

I have a new wedding crush

The new dresses that Elizabeth Dye keeps creating are so beautiful! I've been eyeing her dresses for a while now. It would be so divine if I could wear one of these beauties for my wedding day.

When I was planning my wedding, there were some things that were left 'til the last minute, and one of them was the bridesmaid's jewelry. I knew I wanted to get them something special and I actually did start on handmade bracelets with charms that were unique to each one of my bridesmaids. But they didn't come out as nice as I imagined them with my limited jewelry-making skills. Luckily, Lucia found Deseree of Jewels by Serendipity at a farmer's market a few weeks before the wedding and told me about her. So I quickly got in touch with her and she came to my rescue and got all the necklaces and jewelry done in super speed time. I was so impressed by her beautiful designs and eye for detail. I was more than pleased with what she's done with them and so did my bridesmaids. They still wear them after the wedding. I definitely recommend her for any of your custom jewelry needs, especially if you love nature. Her designs are inspired by the colors and essence of her journey along the California coast from Napa to Orange County.

I'm looking for some fun pins/brooches to give my sister for her baby shower and stumbled upon Miriam's folksy floral pins on etsy. They're made in Portugal! Miriam is a graphic designer, illustrator, design teacher, piano player and a crafty chica! You can definitely tell from her D*LSH pin designs.

Fall is just around the corner. The sun is setting earlier and the air is a little bit more chilly. That also means Fall colors are here too! The deep, beautiful jewel tones and rich textures. Yum! J.Crew has the perfect ensemble for a Fall bridesmaid. One of my fave is the above turquoise/black/metallic brown ensemble. I LOVE IT!

Looking for the Perfect Toes

I'm on the search on the perfect yellow shoes for my wedding, but what I keep running into are perfect toes instead. I'm so loving these toes that I really want it on my perfect yellow shoes. What?! Toes? Yes. Toes. The front part of the shoes. Anthropologie has the cutest collection of toes that I had to share it.

And this one makes me giggle when I look at them. Maybe because I love the name of it Lipstick Suede Peep-Toes. Sounds like it could be a bands name too.

Your wedding shoes doesn't have to be so quiet. I say be bold and add a little flair to your toes! And plus, it will create so many fun photo ops. You'll be lifting your dress all night long, just to show off your toes. Long live the toes!
